Doug's Reading Corner was launched on January 12, 1999 at http://www.home.att.net/~dmsbubby/home.htm. The site registered a domain name, DMSReading.com, on March 14, 2000.

It all started as a project for a Masters class. My assignment was to read twenty-five children's books and review them. The reviews were posted on the web so I could access them anywhere.

Doug's Reading Corner was added to the AT&T WorldNet Member Showcase listing for Family & Kids on 1/19/99. "Teachers and parents will find this eclectic and multi-ethnic reading list an invaluable resource for introducing the diversity of the written word to children."
